At its core, "The cops couldn't cut it so they called you... GHOST DETECTIVE... the only person who can detect ghosts" is about family. Mostly it is about the ghosts but just think about family okay? Well, okay, it's also about you, the Detective (who can detect ghosts , yes yes) and your ridiculous flashlight (lore coming in lore update). You were called in to investigate some gosh dang ghosts in this gosh dang city and you're the only one who can do it.
